Saint Olav bread

Bread with meat, fit for a viking
Saint Olav, the most famous saint of the north, is also the patron saint of Nõva church. As the last viking king, he frequently sailed to meet his kin among the Kievan Rus. Perhaps he even stopped in our port…

During the viking age, barley was widespread, but sourdough ryebread was already known by the vikings as well. Meat, especially boiled or smoked, was taken on long voyages. We combined these into a bread dedicated to Saint Olav. The bread features his symbol.

Price: 3,5€

Ingredients:

  • Whole grain rye flour
  • Barley flour
  • Smoked meat
